John McKimm, Chairman & Co-founder of SEB Analytics

John McKimm sets corporate direction and business strategy, which includes an aggressive emphasis on growth through mergers and acquisitions. John has extensive experience dealing with emerging and growth companies in the areas of strategic and financial restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, operational restructuring, the arrangement of financing and specialty services in SR&ED claims. As the lead visionary of SEB Inc., he is also actively involved in both SEB's day-to-day   operational and sales & marketing activities, as well as those of its subsidiary and affiliated companies.

John's experience spans 35+ years of serving as director and officer of many public and private companies, where he provided operations, investment banking and corporate financing expertise. This experience covers a wide range of sectors, including financial services, computer hardware, software & services, manufacturing, petrochemicals, mining, oil and gas, food processing, telecommunications, waste management, and retail. He has personally identified, negotiated and executed 200+ individual merger, acquisition and financing transactions, both as principal and as agent.

John was Founder, CEO and Chairman of Brainhunter Inc. (TSX: BH), a technology-based service company that he took public after raising more than $70M in debt and equity capital, growing it from a start-up to a $235M+ annual revenue. Previously, he was executive chairman of Daedalian eSolutions Inc., a firm he recapitalized and reorganized, then took public and sold for $29M.

As part of the organic growth of SEB Inc., John created SEB Analytics as a joint venture between a member of the SEB Group of Companies, Banyan Work Health Solutions Inc., and Polon Analytics Inc. SEB Analytics adds predictive modeling and advanced analytics capabilities to SEB's suite of offerings to provide clients with solutions that enable data-driven decisions in order to optimize pricing, underwriting, disability management and healthcare fraud detection.

John holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.A.) from the University of New Brunswick and a Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A.) and a Bachelor of Law (LLB.) from the University of Western Ontario. He also has a number of industry certifications and designations. John continues to publish extensively on select investment and financial restructuring topics.
